Role Overview: Ground Up is seeking a dynamic and independent individual to join our team as a Value Creation Analyst. As a key member of the Platform team, you will work with the Head of Platform to plan and execute strategic projects for Ground Up’s portfolio companies across its two funds, as well as owning portfolio-wide initiatives. You will also work with the partners to plan and execute the firm’s goals towards its long term vision. The role will be based out of our Tel Aviv office, sitting alongside our Israel-based partner.

Responsibilities:

• Relationship Builder: Develop and cultivate relationships with senior operators and executives at tech companies to leverage in support of Ground Up’s portfolio companies, diligence processes, and more. 

• Portfolio Support:

• Work closely with portfolio companies to understand and help shape their business objectives

• Plan and execute projects with portfolio companies according to their needs, leveraging the power of the firm’s network and strength of each member of the team

• Projects will span different business needs of the portfolio company including business development, partnerships, talent acquisition, marketing, etc.

• Portfolio Management: Collaborate with the entire team to understand the overall health of the portfolio and plan and prioritize portfolio support

• Internal Operations

  • Manage internal knowledge database of the firm to capture and understand our networks

  • Maintain and expand talent pool for potential placements at our portfolio companies

  • Build relationships with and maintain database of tech providers for our portfolio companies for relevant portfolio discounts, higher level of support, and special programs being offered to startups

  • Maintain onboarding documents and resources for new and existing portfolio companies

• Communications: Manage our weekly portfolio-wide communications, and twice monthly communications to our LPs.

• Programming: Planning and executing biquarterly programming including webinars, founder meet-ups, networking events, and our annual summit.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related field.

• 1-3 years of experience in venture capital, private equity, management consulting, or a start-up

• Strong understanding of start-ups and their early-stage needs

• Experience using a CRM software such as Airtable, Salesforce, Hubspot

• Strong writing abilities

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and independently in a fast-paced environment.
