We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Mobile Software Engineer to join our growing team to help us provide the best possible experience to our members.

Job Description

We are looking for a highly-skilled and innovative Senior Mobile Software Engineer to play a key role in building and maintaining our customer facing applications. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing both Android and iOS apps that ensure our platform is available to serve our members’ needs in a secure and efficient manner. As an early senior member of the team, you will also mentor junior engineers and help set the direction and culture of the company going forward.

Responsibilities

• Design and build advanced applications for the iOS and Android platforms.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.

• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.

• Design UI/UX in accordance with best practices.

• Implement automated testing and unit tests.

• Drive the adoption of best practices in software engineering, mobile application development, and security.

• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a positive and inclusive team culture.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

• 6+ years of professional experience in software development, with a focus on backend engineering.

• Strong proficiency in mobile programming languages like Kotlin for Android and Swift for iOS.

• Good understanding of mobile design patterns.

• Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect mobile applications to back-end services.

• Proven experience in automating the build and release process (CI/CD).

• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of the healthcare domain, particularly with medical claims and clinical data.

• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or another equivalent cloud platform.

• Developer operations (DevOps) experience for mobile applications, i.e. gathering telemetry, logging, crash detection and end-user debugging experience.
